There is always work to be done on a ranch. Every season brings something a little different than the last season, yet the same. Trading amongst the ranchers was just good business. Fall gathering, after the fall cattle and horse sale, spending a little time in town also meant bringing home the winter supplies. Weather was not meant to be stopped so you could go to Billings or Livingston or Denver to get supplies, you still had to go and make it back home. Coming home and crossing that last creek, meant the worst of it was over and a home fire was ready.

My interest in depicting American Art has been a life long journey. The task is to create several pieces that hold very bright and bold colors and that the setting of the paintings depict the vast array of colors enjoyed on the ranches of northern plains and western mountains which the seasonal changes bring to the people who lived there and their lives through out the year. A piece of the life that has stayed vital, the western lifestyle will always be a part of our life.

Anderson R. Moore is an artist, instructor, striving to evoke emotional responses to her paintings and other works through the paint brush. Most of her paintings are large works, and color is important in telling the story.
