Artist's Description
One of my favorite flowers. In the summer, out in the hay fields, there were thousands of iris blooming along the creek. It was also one of my mothers favorite flowers. Mildred was hand painted on fine 100% pure silk, with steam set dyes. If you are looking for some of the accent hot colors of the season this year, blues, the rest of the green color palette, then this print is it. Hand painting on silk allows the colors to pop, a depth in the silk and transparency can be achieved that is most satisfying to me as an artist.
