Grew up with Rodeo, and loved it, participated in in, but the men and women who ride these powerful critters today are just awesome! Hats off to them!
Hand painting with dyes in a watercolor technique on silk allows the colors to pop, a depth in the silk and transparency can be achieved that is most satisfying to me as an artist. The dyes used are liquid color applied either full strength or diluted with water, and areas of the painting can be treated with salts or alcohol in the same manner as other water activated paints, the only difference is that the painting must be steam set for the painting to be set in the silk.
